Jitneys run throughout the day until about 6pm.
Jitney fare is $1.25 - Exact change only.
All jitneys depart from Frederick Street or
George Street off Bay Street in Downtown Nassau.
Feel free to ask the busdriver is your not sure of your destination.

Car Rentals 
Left hand drive, but we drive on the left here in the Bahamas.  
Driving can be confusing and somewhat dangerour.  So rent only if you must.

Most drivers are exceptionally friendly and informative.  
Taxi fares are fixed by the Government,
but ask ahead of time what the fare will be.

Water Taxis or Ferry Boats - 
These Native ferry boats are classic bahamian style. 
Most are hand hewn wooden hulled boats passed down for generations.
All boats are Inspected by a government agent.
Each is Licensed and Insured.

Ferries leave from Woodes Rodgers Wharf
at downtown Nassau every 30 minutes
and from Paradise Island Dock - across from Club Land D'or.
Boat Operators are at the walkways and intersections to guide you.

Casino Shuttles
The Atlantis Hotel Shuttle is a free service to Atlantis Hotel guests 
which runs every 1/2 hour from 7am to midnite, in a circular route 
via the Beach tower, the Ocean club and Paradise Island Golf Club.

The Cable Beach Casino Shuttle also is free, and runs every hour 
from 6pm to 2 am from the casino past all the major hotels on Cable Beach.  
Ask your bellman for details.
